Having started out with "less than" equipment in '96, you could say a person grows appreciation to how a track is built, where it goes, and what it stands for. Coming out of the shoot not really having found his comfort zone in music styles, myth, aka Michael Marsh, has burned his way through electro brks, speed garage, trance, nu-skool, dark trance, and finally settling down in hard trance. "I don't think that showing some range is a bad thing, but you can spread yourself too thin. And that sticks out like a sore thumb, if you ask me." Myth's current sets would start you out with the darker side of trance with beautiful selections like Acting Out-Inkfish and Cyber Girl-Attiica feat. Kirsty Hoiles for starters. "Throwing in a little nu-skool or electro breaks, to me, is the missing ingredient to a good set." Fine, so tracks like ED209-Infectious & Streetdegre-Personality Disorder would fit very nicely right about here. Maybe even some Meat Katie or Plump DJ's, depending on how the night is progressing. As the night progresses, so does the intensity of his track selection. "I guess you could say I try to weed out the weak sometimes" as he smiles and adjusts the worn out myth cap. In any case, he definately keeps the crowd guessing and thursting for more. Other selections in his bag of tricks would be I Want You-dj t.t. hacky & Here Comes the Pain- Lee Haslam find their way into his set and onto the dance floor with a mad rush of head bobbing and sweaty smiles. "The power of the Dance is a dangerous power. Like other forms of self-surrender, it is easier to begin than to stop." -Last night a DJ saved my life by Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton.
